Miles Perry, MPH
Project Associate Specialist

Miles Perry is a public health researcher and program strategist with experience spanning academic research, government, and nonprofit sectors. Their work focuses on translating complex research into actionable, community-centered programs, with expertise in health equity, implementation science, and evaluation. Miles has supported and led projects at institutions including Florida State University, Duke University, and FHI360, as well as state and local health departments, where they coordinated multi-stakeholder initiatives, managed community-based
participatory research processes, and ensured rigorous data collection and dissemination.
Grounded in a commitment to equity and community partnership, Miles has worked extensively on HIV prevention, mental health, substance use, and social determinants of health, particularly among Black, LGBTQ+, and underserved communities. They are known for bridging research, policy, and practice by bringing together data, lived experience, and cross-sector collaboration to design programs that are both evidence-based and accessible. Miles earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester in their hometown, where they majored in International Relations and Public Health. Miles later earned his Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Miles currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they serve as the Chair of Charlotte Black Pride."
