Breyana Davis, DrPH, MPH

Breyana D. Davis, DrPH, MPH is a public health practitioner and consultant with over 12 years of experience supporting nonprofit, government, and academic partners through community-driven, evidence-based work. Her expertise includes public health program planning and implementation, capacity building, facilitation, and translating complex initiatives into clear, actionable strategies that improve system performance and outcomes.​

Dr. Davis has led and supported federally funded initiatives in workforce development, community engagement, food systems, data modernization, and policy, systems, and environmental change. She brings strong experience in federal grant management, project design and implementation, multi-sector partnership development, and aligning strategy with execution while centering equity and community voice.

She currently works at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Gillings School of Global Public Health within the North Carolina Institute for Public Health, supporting public health infrastructure and capacity-building efforts. She previously served as the inaugural Executive Director of the HBCU Health Equity Data Consortium, where she led collaborative, data-driven initiatives to advance community health and strengthen institutional capacity. She also brings consulting experience helping organizations design and implement sustainable, equity-centered public health solutions.
