Data Storytelling:
How to Communicate Your Program Success and Impact
Virtual Workshop | Wednesday, September 16, 12:00-1:30pm ET
About the Workshop
Behind every thriving program is a story that data alone can't tell and a set of numbers that, without the right narrative, no one will remember. A program can point to a strong quarter of enrollment growth, or cite the number of families served, but numbers on their own rarely explain why something worked, who it mattered to, or what should happen next. That gap is where good organizations lose the very people they're trying to convince funders, board members, and community partners among them.
Too often, organizations collect data because they're supposed to, because a grant requires it, a board

expects it, or "everyone tracks this" without a clear sense of why it matters or how it connects to funding, growth, and stakeholder interests. Data collected without a clear purpose tends to pile up rather than pay off. This interactive workshop reframes data as a foundation for program success, not just a reporting requirement, but a means to track and communicate your program's insights, outcomes, and impact.
By the end of this workshop you'll understand:
-
The important elements to developing an impactful data story
-
What data makes sense to collect and how how to appropriately collect data
-
How to use dashboards to track and communicate program insights, successes, and impact
